The OptConnect difference

Same router. Very different outcome.

Plenty of resellers can ship you an S700. But too often, they can’t help you after you get the box. That’s where deployments succeed or stall.

Why the S700

Enterprise-grade LTE in a box that fits in your hand.

The S700 is Ericsson’s semi-ruggedized LTE and security appliance for IoT. It’s secure enough for payments, tough enough for a pump station, and compact enough to tuck inside a kiosk.

01

Fast, Flexible LTE

Up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. Plus, two SIM slots and automatic carrier failover mean you’re never locked into just one network.

02

Built-In Wi-Fi 6

The S700 makes it simple to connect cameras, digital screens, and controllers without running cable. Don’t need Wi-Fi? Ask us about the S750.

03

Zero-Trust Security

A 480 Mbps stateful firewall, IPS, and zero-trust access via NetCloud Exchange limit each device’s reach to only authorized resources.

FAQ

Cradlepoint S700 FAQs

Is the Cradlepoint S700 a 5G router?

No. The S700 uses an embedded Cat 4 LTE modem (up to 150 Mbps down / 50 Mbps up) with 3G fallback. That’s plenty for kiosks, signage, POS, ATMs, cameras, and most IoT. If you need 5G, we can recommend an Ericsson E300 or E400.

What’s the difference between the S700 and the S750?

Same rugged LTE router. The S700 includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6; the S750 has no Wi-Fi, for deployments where wireless LAN isn’t wanted or allowed. The S700-C4D and S750-C4D are North American models; the S700-C4E is the global version.

Does the S700 require a NetCloud subscription?

Yes. Ericsson sells the S700 only as part of a NetCloud IoT package, typically IoT Essentials or Essentials + Advanced for 3 or 5 years. Essentials includes NetCloud Manager, software updates, Ericsson support, and the limited lifetime warranty for the active term. We’ll help you choose.

Which carriers does the S700 work with?

The North American S700-C4D is certified on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, and supports FirstNet Trusted™, Verizon Frontline, and T-Mobile Connecting Heroes. OptConnect can supply and activate the data plan that fits your locations, and the second SIM slot lets you add a backup carrier.

Does the S700 come with antennas and a power supply?

It depends on the package. “-NN” packages include an AC power supply and antennas; “-NA” packages include the router and GPIO/power cable only, for DC power, PoE, or your own antennas.

Ericsson, Cradlepoint, and NetCloud are trademarks of Ericsson.
