OptConnect, a longtime leader in managed wireless services, today announced that Steve Garrett, Chief Product Officer, has won a Silver Stevie® in the 19th annual American Business Awards®. The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. OptConnect’s Customer Care team was also honored with a Bronze Stevie® for Customer Service Team of the Year.

In 2019, Steve spearheaded the creation and launch of a product called OptConnect ema™, the first smart embedded modem solution (patent-pending) for M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) applications that provides Connectivity-as-a-Service. In addition to ema, Steve also spearheaded the launch of OptConnect mylo in 2020 which has also recently received an IoT Breakthrough Award for M2M Product of the Year.
